Experience the fun of hot glass in this 3 hour class.Students will use major burners and borosilicate glass tubing to create unique hand blown bud vases.Each student will learn to sculpt and manipulate hot glass using a torch and various hand tools.All materials are included in the price of the class.

Ever go to a bead show and wonder how the artist made that beautiful glass bead? Experience the fun of hot glass in this 3 hour class.Students will use minor burners and soft glass (morretti) to create unique handmade glass beads.Each student will learn to sculpt and manipulate hot glass using a torch and various hand tools.If time allows students will also be able to try their hands at making a glass drawer pull.Techniques covered vary from class to class depending on enrollment. During this 3 hour class students will learn a variety of basic metal working techniques.Projects include Metal Cuff Bracelets, Earrings, and Pendants.This class has a heavy emphasis on sheet metal and fabrication techniques.Metals choices include Sterling Silver, Copper and Brass. During this 3 hour class students will learn the basics wire wrappingtechniques.Each student will create a unique wire wrapped gemstone pendant.The techniques taught in this class can easily be adapted to create earrings and other types of jewelry as well.Basic materials kit is included, advanced projects may incur additional expense.All skill levels welcome.
